Your tasks

With us, you will play an important role in meeting each individual's unique needs and become a crucial part of the team that creates a meaningful and stimulating everyday life for our clients.

Working as a support assistant means actively guiding and strengthening the individual's ability to be independent. Your tasks are broad and include providing support in daily life through personal care, participation in leisure activities, efforts to promote health and functional ability, and working towards increased participation. The core of the profession is to help release and develop the users' own resources. Ongoing tasks also include traditional interventions such as habilitation, medication management, and documentation.

Due to the varying needs of the users, the work in the group home is very varied, and in this position, you will work with several different aspects related to support and care.

If you work nights, in addition to providing users with support such as personal care and medication during the night, you will also create a sense of security in the home. During the night, you will also work on tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and similar activities.

We work based on IBIC, individual needs in focus. In this position, you will have the opportunity for development in your role as you will be assigned a contact person role, which means that you will plan support interventions together with the individual. You are responsible for the implementation plan and document in the Treserva system. The role also includes close contact with relatives and other partners.

Your workplace

We are now looking for three new colleagues at Fanjunkaregatans group home, one of which is for a night position at 100%. The other two positions have working hours scheduled for days, evenings, weekends with a working degree of 75-100%. The group home is located in the T1 area, near Valla recreational area and Old Linköping.

In the group home, five adult users live with varying functional variations and significant care needs. Several of the users are wheelchair-bound and need support with transfers. The staff has technical aids, such as lifts. Some of the users go to daily activities, while others stay home during the day. The users who are at home have some form of activity during the day, such as swimming, walks, music, and going to the event center, which is an activity center for people with functional variations. Our users have limited ability to communicate verbally and use alternative augmentative communication such as sign language and visual support.

Who we are looking for

We are looking for someone who has completed the care and nursing program, the child and leisure program, or another education deemed equivalent and has experience in support, care, and nursing. If you have prior experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities, physical disabilities, have handled technical aids, and medications, this is considered an advantage. It is also advantageous if you have experience with record-keeping and working based on IBIC.

The work involves a lot of customer contact and documentation, which means you need to be able to communicate orally and in writing in Swedish and document in digital systems. Since our users have limited verbal communication, it is desirable that you have knowledge of alternative augmentative communication such as sign language and visual support.

You are self-driven and take responsibility for your tasks and push your work forward. You also work well with others. It is important that you can listen and communicate clearly and have the ability to adapt your communication style. You also have an empathetic ability and can understand others' perspectives and situations.
