I am a 20-year-old guy who wants to be where things happen, and I am now looking for you who want to work 90% with me.

The workplace is wherever I am, which can mean at my home, with me at school, or at various places around my home where I am.

I have been granted assistance around the clock, so your shifts will be distributed between approximately 08:00-15:30, 15:30-21:00, and awake night 21:00-08:00. You will work every other weekend on a rolling schedule.

My interests include playing video games, music, bowling, watching hockey, my own YouTube channel, woodworking, and looking at cool machines. You will need to assist me when I want to help out when the family is in the garden doing various gardening tasks, so it’s a big plus if you, as the applicant, also enjoy that. I like to be outside in all kinds of weather.

I live with my family and our dog in a villa in Linköping.

As a personal assistant at my home, you will help with dressing and undressing, personal hygiene, transfers, and you will be my extended arm, helping where my disability sets limits. Your role will also include planning and structuring my daily life together with me to help me become as independent as possible. You will also need to handle medications, and it is important to have constant attention to my general condition as I also have diabetes.

Travel may occur as my family also has a house in Gotland, which I enjoy being in.

I am looking for you who:

• Can tolerate pets, as we have a dog in the family
• Has good physical condition, as transfers are part of the job
• Is passionate about your work and wants to make a difference for another person
• Has good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
• Has experience working as a personal assistant, preferably with youth!
• Sees this work as a long-term commitment
• Has a strong commitment to your work
• Can accompany on trips, e.g., to Gotland
• It’s a big plus if you also have experience with diabetes; if you don’t, we will train you.

The role of a personal assistant places high demands on the ability to create good relationships and take on significant responsibility. It is important for our client’s parents to feel secure when you are caring for their youth. Therefore, it is advantageous if you have experience working with children, youth, or in healthcare. We also see it as an advantage if you have experience with low-arousal approaches.
