Who are we?

Fiskebyvägen 10B is a group home near Eneby Centrum where 6 users live. We are 11 employees working to provide approved services according to the LSS Act.

Our residence is aimed at individuals with disabilities with challenging behaviors and epilepsy. In our work, we focus on the user's needs and wishes, putting the individual at the center. We work with low-arousal approaches, motivational interviewing (MI), and based on care needs.

Together, we are responsible for leading the operations towards our set goals where our competence and participation are crucial for the organization. We strive to create a meaningful and safe everyday life for our users.

Your tasks

As a support assistant with us, you will be part of a collaborative team where you will be responsible for care and creating a safe and secure environment for our users.

You will base your work on each individual's implementation plan and provide services tailored to their needs and goals, so they can develop and receive the right support in their daily lives.

You will assist with everyday tasks such as cooking and cleaning, as well as providing social support during walks, training, and similar activities.

Since many of our users have challenging behaviors, you will work with low-arousal approaches and motivational interviewing to support the individual in the best way possible.

Documentation and incident reporting are part of your daily tasks.

Who are you?

We are looking for a support assistant who has a high school diploma from the health and care program, the child and leisure program with a social focus, or other relevant education deemed equivalent.

You have previous experience in care work, preferably within LSS. You are accustomed to working with low-arousal approaches and have experience working with challenging behaviors such as threats and violence.

We view positively if you have experience with epilepsy, clear pedagogical methods, motivational interviewing, and signs as support.

As a person, you are secure and stable with a good ability to manage your own emotions even when faced with more challenging situations.

You have a pedagogical understanding and provide individualized services while maintaining a professional approach. We use low-arousal approaches and treat everyone with respect for the individual's needs.

You enjoy working both independently and in close collaboration with colleagues and other professional groups relevant to the assignment.

As we work in a dynamic environment, we see that you are flexible and adapt to new circumstances that may arise during the workday.

To succeed in the position, we see that you have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.
