JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Do you want to lead us?
We are looking for a Senior Social Worker for the Foster Care Group, where the role involves being 50% Senior Social Worker and 50% Foster Care Secretary. The Foster Care Group is part of the Placement Unit, which also includes Child Social Workers, Contact Social Workers, and Family Law. In your role, you will be responsible for the daily management and support of the caseworkers and, together with the unit manager and Senior Social Workers for Child Social Workers, develop foster care in Lerum Municipality.
Your tasks
The role of Senior Social Worker means you will provide close and daily support to the social workers in your team. You will lead and allocate work and provide methodological guidance to the staff in their assignments. You will have regular case supervision and methodological development both individually and in groups, and can represent the group in various contexts as well as introduce new employees.
You will work together with the unit manager on development issues and processes, monitor collaboration issues, and ensure our transition to the new social services act. You will work to ensure quality in the work and, if necessary, develop and/or revise routines and guidelines.
As a Senior Social Worker, you need to be well-versed in legislation, able to work independently, and remain calm in pressured situations. You should be able to coach the caseworkers in their assignments to foster development and independence.
You should be able to independently handle relevant cases within foster care and drive your processes forward. You should be able to plan and structure your work, have a good approach, and, of course, keep the child's best interests in focus.
We work based on Signs of Safety, where you as a manager have the task of supporting and guiding the caseworkers according to this approach, aiming to make everyone feel involved in the process, both employees and children and networks.
QUALIFICATIONS
Do you have that little extra?
The requirements for the position are a degree in social work and experience in foster care. You have a personal drive for development, are positive, and have the ability to inspire others. You can create calm in stressful situations and prefer solutions over problems. To lead and allocate work effectively, you need to be responsible, structured, and have good planning skills. Since the team of Foster Care Secretaries and Child Social Workers is central to foster care children, the position requires you to have a good ability to collaborate and plan together with others and work towards creating the best possible conditions for our children, their networks, and the foster homes.
You are proficient in the operational system Treserva and see digitalization as a natural part of the work and are comfortable using various digital tools.
Being able to listen and show respect and care for others and collaborate to achieve the best results is your starting point. In your role as Senior Social Worker, you represent the employer and also become a role model for your colleagues. Personal suitability will be taken into account when filling the position.

A valid driver's license (B) is required.
