About the Job

The Youth Resource Unit is organizationally part of the Family Reception Department, resources for children and young people and adults, along with other service units aimed at children and young people.

We primarily work with assistance-assessed assignments from our authority units but also offer services without individual needs assessment, IUB, which parents and young people can apply for themselves. The target group is parents and young people aged 13-20 years.

The Youth Resource Unit's workgroup is characterized by great commitment, interest in social change work, and high job satisfaction. We offer a good working environment with time for reflection and recovery. We are a workgroup with broad competence that welcomes innovative thinking and sees collaboration as a prerequisite for good treatment work. The unit consists of three teams that receive close supervision from our three method supervisors. The method supervisors have slightly different focuses in their assignments to cover the unit's needs but work closely together and should be able to prioritize and distribute tasks among themselves based on space and needs. You will also be part of a city-wide network for method supervisors and be included in a unit management group for the Resource Units in Angered together with unit managers.

As a method supervisor, your main task is to provide method supervision individually and in groups, as well as follow up and evaluate the unit's ongoing assignments. You will also, in close collaboration with the unit's employees and manager, drive the development of new and existing methods and be active in collaboration with other units. Part of the assignment also includes ensuring that documentation and follow-up are conducted in a qualitative and legally secure manner. Currently, there are 17 family therapists distributed across two teams, as well as three employees with housing social assignments.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a degree in social work or another higher education that the employer deems relevant. You also need to have further education in psychosocial work. It is advantageous if you have previously worked with leadership in psychosocial treatment work.

To fulfill the assignment, you need to have good knowledge of municipal social services and solid experience in family therapy. You have knowledge of Signs of Safety, network work, and a systemic approach. You need to have good knowledge of methods and approaches regarding psychosocial treatment work, domestic violence, and honor-related violence and oppression. It is an advantage if you have worked with Feedback Informed Treatment.

To fit into the role, you need to be attentive, collaborative, stable, and secure. You listen to others to understand their needs. You actively seek others' opinions and perspectives and are receptive to them by showing respect, consideration, and care. You have the ability to monitor the external environment and have knowledge of what our district's residents need. You have the ability to work together with others to perform tasks and achieve goals. By being interested and creating understanding for others, you contribute to a respectful work climate.

You need to be able to inspire and motivate employees. Family therapists are often faced with challenging situations that you need to help them manage. An important part of the assignment is to stay updated on research and methods and to be able to convey this to the employees.
