About the Job

Are you a student looking for a socially important summer job? We are now looking for someone who wants to inspire and lead Bostadsbolaget's summer working high school students.

Bostadsbolaget welcomes a large number of summer working youth from the City of Gothenburg's summer job program each year. In total, we offer 150 summer jobs to ensure more young people have a meaningful summer and gain important work experience. We want to welcome the youth in the best way possible and are therefore looking for someone who wants to mentor, support, and coordinate the summer youth. You will have the chance to play an important role for our youth in what is often their first encounter with the working life.

The summer jobs are distributed throughout Gothenburg, as our residential areas are spread across our districts Hisingen, Centrum, and Öster. As a mentor, you will coordinate a group of about 5-6 youth who will work in one or more of our residential areas. You will work from June to August. An Inspirer and Leader for the Summer Youth

In your role, you will mentor our summer workers for ten weeks this summer. The youth working are aged 16-19 and will perform simpler practical tasks such as keeping clean and tidy, weeding, and painting. In some of our residential areas, it may occur that the mentor, together with the youth, plans social activities for the tenants' children. Together, we work to create safety and comfort for our tenants. As a mentor, you inspire and lead the youth. You are a role model who supports, plans, and participates in the tasks together with the youth. You also collaborate with our employees on-site in the area. The role also includes handling certain administrative tasks such as attendance reporting.

For the summer of 2026, we also have a group of summer youth who will work on safety in our areas. We are looking for a mentor for this group who particularly wants to focus on safety and comfort. Tasks will include mapping broken lighting, inventorying and putting up stickers, and identifying and addressing graffiti. We are looking for someone who is responsible, has an eye for detail, and wants to help create a better living environment. You will be an important part of our team and have the opportunity to influence and improve our area.

About You

Are you our next inspirer and secure leader? We are looking for someone who enjoys leading, organizing, and creating a good atmosphere in the group! You are orderly, have an easy time collaborating, and want to make a difference for our youth. With your commitment and pedagogical ability, you ensure that everyone feels included and motivated.

To thrive in the role of mentor, we would like you to:

• Have the ability to communicate in a way that creates good relationships
• Be good at collaborating and meeting other people.
• Have experience in similar roles and feel comfortable in the mentoring role
• Be a student at a university/college or have a degree as a leisure leader, psychologist, social educator, teacher, or similar
• Be an inspirer who leads with both heart and action

About Us

Bostadsbolaget has about 25,000 rental apartments distributed across all districts of Gothenburg. This makes us one of Gothenburg's largest landlords and an important part of community and urban development.

We are about 400 people working at Bostadsbolaget. Most work out in our residential areas closest to our tenants, while others work centrally in one of our support functions.
