About the Workplace

The Labor Market and Financial Support Unit is in a dynamic development phase where we are both growing and improving our working methods.

With the introduction of the new Social Services Act, we see an increased need for competent employees who can contribute to our continued success. We strive to create a future for the residents of Ale who need our interventions so that they can live an independent and meaningful life.

The unit is part of the individual and family care services. All units collaborate closely to meet the needs of those we serve in the best possible way. The Labor Market and Financial Support Unit handles five main areas: labor market, financial support, integration, housing, and budget and debt counseling. The unit is led by two unit managers, two senior social workers, and a team leader. In our unit, social workers and labor market coaches work in teams to support individuals towards an independent life.

The office is centrally located in Nödinge center and is easily accessible by public transport. We are committed to maintaining a salutogenic approach towards each other and those we serve. In the unit, we work closely with operations because we believe that the best solutions come from those who work in core operations.

Job Responsibilities

We are looking for an engaged housing secretary who wants to make a difference in people's everyday lives. As a housing secretary, you will often be the first contact for residents and handle applications, contracts, and advice regarding municipal housing.

You will have the opportunity to work independently with varied tasks, collaborate with both internal and external actors, and contribute to the development of routines and working methods within the housing agency.

We are looking for someone who is meticulous, service-oriented, and confident in providing clear information, and who wants to contribute to a well-functioning housing agency for all. Documentation and record-keeping are important parts of the job to ensure legal security and follow-up of support measures. You will collaborate with various actors both internally and externally to ensure a holistic perspective and contribute to individuals receiving the support they need promptly. You will also mentor students and be involved in a learning organization.

Qualifications

To succeed in the role of housing secretary with us, a degree in social work or another equivalent education deemed suitable by the employer is required. Since the tasks involve documentation and communication, you need to express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing. The job requires you to have a B driver's license.

To handle the role of housing secretary, you need to take responsibility for your and the shared tasks with the best interests of the operations/individuals in focus. You take your tasks seriously, are keen to complete what you have started, and ensure that the work is done correctly. The position also requires you to have the ability to work together with others to perform tasks and achieve goals. By being interested and creating understanding for others, you contribute to a respectful work climate. You understand the common mission, act accordingly, and contribute to the whole.

It is advantageous if you have experience in authority exercise and experience with the target group within financial support, integration, labor market, or housing. Experience in other social work and being accustomed to meeting people in vulnerable situations is also a merit.
