Social Worker for the Reception Unit for Support Services Southwest

Do you want to work as a social worker in the reception at Support Services in Southwest, a leading urban area with a driven staff and competent colleagues? Then this job is for you!

At Support Services in Southwest, there are currently four units focusing on children and young adults, adults with LSS, adults with SoL/reception, and psychiatry.

The four units are co-located in pleasant and spacious premises at Järnbrotts Prästväg 2. In total, about 70 social workers, nine senior social workers, and four unit managers work in the entire Southwest area. Support Services Southwest is responsible for the management of approximately 2000 support service cases.

The reception unit consists of one senior social worker and six social workers. In the reception, you will work with tasks such as attending care planning meetings, investigating according to SoL and LSS, informing about various support measures, investigating preliminary decisions, and answering the emergency phone.

The work suits you who enjoy a mix of fast-paced and more long-term processes. The assignment involves exercising authority, which requires both a sense of responsibility and humility regarding the decisions we make. The assignment may change over time if needs arise or if conditions change.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is a trained social worker or has another higher education that the employer considers equivalent. Since the position involves administrative work and issuing, for example, service statements, you need to have a good ability to express yourself in the Swedish language in both speech and writing.

It is advantageous if you are well acquainted with processing according to the Social Services Act (SoL) and the Act on Support and Service for Certain Disabled Persons (LSS). Experience in exercising authority with investigations, assessments, and implementation of decisions, as well as experience in documentation in operational systems such as IBIC/Treserva/SAMSA, is also considered advantageous for the position.
