The job involves:

We are looking for a personal assistant for a person with acquired brain injury. The person has both visual and hearing impairments, which means that communication needs to be clear and the work environment should be structured and predictable. The person has limited mental endurance and needs regular recovery breaks throughout the day. Therefore, the pace of work needs to be adjusted according to daily condition and needs. The work is varied, developing, and meaningful, while at times it can be physically demanding.

Who are you?

Are you a stable and solution-focused person? This is a role for you if you can take your own initiatives and enjoy being creative and confident in your decisions. You should be able to handle challenging situations with clarity. You need to work in a low-arousal manner but still be proactive and create a good structure. You who apply have solid experience in care and support work.

Working hours

The working hours are scheduled for all hours of the day and every other weekend. This means that the job includes day, evening, and night shifts. We schedule working hours according to ATL, and the position includes sleeping on-call.

Qualifications

  • A driving license (B) is required
  • Experience with low-arousal approaches, alternative and augmentative communication (e.g., communication aids and clarifying pedagogy)
  • Very good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
  • Education in care and support is required
  • Experience in personal assistance is considered an advantage

Other information

The recruitment process begins immediately, and selection, interviews, and appointments may occur during the application period. We apply a trial employment period of 6 months.

We have implemented Microsoft Teams 360 to streamline communication between employees, support pedagogues, and unit managers. By combining digitalization with person-centered care and pedagogical methods, we strengthen the use of welfare technology. LifeCare and the integration of electronic time reporting (ELT) simplify time reporting to the Social Insurance Agency. This frees up time for individualized support of high quality while continuously enhancing our digital maturity and ensuring a safe and efficient digital work environment.

Criminal record extract

The employer has the right and, in many cases, the obligation to obtain extracts from the criminal record.
