Job Responsibilities
We are now looking for both summer and hourly substitutes for our Residential Services with a focus on psychiatry, neuropsychiatry, and social psychiatry.
Our operations are located in Hisingen. Your placement will be determined based on the needs of the services.
What does the role entail?
You will work in group homes where our clients have various mental, neuropsychiatric, or intellectual disabilities. Together with experienced colleagues or sometimes working alone, you provide support in all aspects of daily life. This may include:
- Educational support in daily activities
- Personal care
- Assistance with household chores such as cooking and cleaning
- Medication management according to delegation
- Documentation of the client's needs and development
The work also involves encounters with challenging or self-harming behaviors as well as substance abuse issues. Therefore, we actively work with low-arousal approaches to create calm and safety.
As an hourly substitute, you cover for the absence of regular staff in the services. You are offered flexible working hours scheduled during the day, evening, awake night, and sleeping on-call during weekdays and weekends. You can manage your working hours by entering your availability and receiving work requests accordingly.
As a summer substitute, you are offered a fixed schedule during the summer. There is an opportunity to work either day/evening, day/evening/sleeping on-call, or only awake night. Weekend work is included.
Qualifications
You need to master the Swedish language in both speech and writing, which means a requirement for passing grades in Swedish 1, Swedish as a second language 1, or equivalent. If you do not meet these qualifications, you may be offered to take a language test through the testing provider Educateit.
In this operation, there may be solitary work. According to (AFS 2023:2 6 chap. 56, 8 §§), you must be at least 18 years old to be considered for the position.
If you are a trained support assistant, nursing assistant, or have another education that the employer considers equivalent, or if you have ongoing education in care and nursing, psychology, pedagogy, or social work, it is meritorious.
It is highly meritorious if you have experience working with the psychiatric target group and if you have experience in handling outwardly aggressive behavior.
We are looking for someone who takes responsibility for their and the group's tasks. You think about those we are here for and their best interests. You are friendly and helpful to others even in a stressful situation. You show respect for everyone you meet at work. You are inviting and positive. You remain calm and secure even in pressured situations.
