We are currently seeking an experienced Tacton modeler/developer for a R&D assignment in a technically advanced and international environment for our client in Finspång. The role involves central responsibility for modeling, further development, and quality assurance of CPQ solutions that support configuration, pricing, and quotation work for complex products and services.

Your Responsibilities

In the role of specialist in document and configuration management, you will work closely with IT, R&D, finance, and the sales organization in an international environment. You will be responsible for further developing and quality assuring CPQ solutions that support efficient and reliable product configuration, pricing, and quotation work.

Your main responsibilities include, among others:

• Gathering, structuring, and analyzing requirements for product configuration in collaboration with development teams and global sales and technical teams
• Designing, building, and maintaining complex product configuration models in Tacton CPQ based on business and customer needs
• Configuring pricing rules, discount structures, and quotation generation processes
• Further developing and optimizing existing models with a focus on quality, efficiency, and scalability
• Participating in the development and improvement of processes, working methods, and techniques within the CPQ area
• Providing technical support and expert assistance to the sales organization during quotation and bidding work
• Coordinating information flows and stakeholders in implementation and development projects
• Working according to agile methodologies with continuous dialogue and feedback from sales, R&D, and finance
• Testing and verifying configuration models to ensure high quality and reliability

Requirements

• University degree in engineering, IT, computer science, or equivalent work experience
• At least 5 years of documented experience in development and modeling in the Tacton CPQ platform
• Solid experience working with CPQ systems and product configuration
• Strong ability to translate business and operational requirements into technical models and solutions
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills
• Ability to work in a structured manner, prioritize, and deliver according to set deadlines

Meritorious

• Certifications in Tacton CPQ
• Independent responsibility for modeling in one or more Tacton configurator projects
• Deep knowledge of object type hierarchies
• Experience with advanced features in TCStudio
• Modeling with attributes, functions, and constraints
• Experience with Tacton Constraint Language (TCL) for advanced logic in complex product and pricing scenarios
• Programming skills in JavaScript and/or JSON
• Experience with Jira and working with Kanban or Sprint boards
