The Social Administration
The Social Administration is responsible for interventions, support, and services to individuals and families in the municipality. Our operations are primarily governed by the Social Services Act, the LSS Act, and the Health and Medical Services Act, and must implement interventions regulated by these laws. All operations are characterized by the individual being at the center to meet individual needs. The mission involves a strong customer focus and service spirit.
Forecasts for demographic development indicate challenges for municipal operations. We need to do more with fewer resources. To balance this, a transformation effort is required, which means that operations need to both develop and phase out. Within the Social Administration, we continuously work on transformation but now need to take further steps regarding digitization and automation to create conditions for working as efficiently as possible.
We are now looking for you who want to play a key role in the Social Administration's development journey and have the ability to translate the needs of the operation into concrete digital initiatives that create benefits, efficiency, and quality!
The Position
The position of Digitalization Leader is located in the Social Administration's staff. The staff also includes functions such as system management, administration, project management, procurement, and purchasing, etc. The staff is led by the Deputy Social Director.
RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Digitalization Leader, you are responsible for coordinating, driving, and following up on the administration's digitalization work in line with applicable regulations at the national, regional, and local levels. The role is both strategic and operational and encompasses everything from setting structures to implementations and further development. The work requires a good ability to collaborate with operations, IT, and municipal common functions.
As a Digitalization Leader, you will:
- Lead and coordinate the administration's digitalization work
- Follow up and analyze the effects of digitalization initiatives
- Ensure that digital solutions are appropriate, legally secure, and user-friendly
- Contribute to the development of common working methods, structure, and competence in digitalization
- Be a strategic and operational support in digitalization issues
- Communicate and inform about the digitalization work within the administration
- Coordinate environmental monitoring within the digitalization area from an operational perspective
In addition, you will actively participate in municipal common case and agenda preparation within the digitalization area, and report status, results, and needs to the administration's digitalization responsible and management.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone with relevant education in areas such as computer science, change management, digitalization, or other education combined with work experience that the employer deems relevant. You have documented experience in driving digitalization or operational development, preferably with the support of AI, and in addition, you have good operational knowledge from the public sector or politically governed organizations. You have the ability to work systematically with planning, follow-up, and coordination and have good communication skills in spoken and written Swedish.
It is meritorious if you have experience leading cross-functional groups or projects. Knowledge of and/or experience working with information security, cybersecurity, and system development is desirable.
We place great importance on your personal qualities and ability to contribute to a professional and trusting collaboration. You work closely with other functions within the staff while also having a broad network within and outside the administration.
You follow set goals and focus on results while having the ability to change your direction when goals change. You think outside the box and often come up with ideas and new approaches, and you have innovative thinking that can be implemented in practice and leads to results. You work well with others and have a good understanding of how people's different conditions and abilities to absorb knowledge, and you adapt your way of conveying your message to the recipient. You easily adapt to changing requirements and conditions.
