Your Role

We within the Program and Systems Management department now need to strengthen the existing Brazil contract with a project manager. You will be part of an experienced team of contract managers where you will support by driving several different projects.

As a project manager within the Brazilian Gripen contract, you are responsible for planning and delivering according to commitments, coordinating multidisciplinary teams both internally and externally, and having ongoing dialogue with the customer about the progress of your commitments. The work is carried out together with other contract managers, program managers, and business managers within Saab.

A significant part of your work will also involve supporting, assisting, and setting requirements for various parts of the organization.

The role of project manager requires a combination of business acumen, operational management skills, and a good technical understanding of the Gripen system.

The work involves a number of international trips per year.

Your Profile

We are looking for a project manager with strong self-drive and commitment. You are social, communicative, and understand the importance of good collaboration, both internally and with customers. Furthermore, you are efficient, structured, and have the ability to see the big picture while understanding the details when required.

You easily establish, maintain, and manage contacts with different people. You have a good ability to handle parallel tasks and perform well in your role even under stressful working conditions.

Furthermore, we would like to see that:

• You can discuss and negotiate business matters both internally at Saab and with customers
• You have a good financial understanding
• You have broad knowledge of the Gripen system
• You can communicate clearly in English both verbally and in writing
• You have a good understanding of how we conduct development and/or production
• You have a strong self-drive and are persistent in what you do
• It is an advantage if you have experience from leadership positions
• It is an advantage if you have experience in international business relations
• It is an advantage if you speak Portuguese

The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to the applicable regulations for security protection. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may, in some cases, involve requirements for certain citizenship.
