The Correctional Service's Service Center (KSC) is part of the headquarters and supports the authority in personnel and financial administrative services, support functions, travel booking, and the authority's switchboard function. KSC serves as an entry point and aims to resolve all incoming inquiries in a friendly and professional manner.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The position is located within the Financial Administration section. The section is responsible for the ongoing accounting and bookkeeping of the Swedish Prison and Probation Service, including supplier invoices, e-commerce and orders, customer invoices, payments, inmates' funds, operational reporting, year-end closing, and system management.

• You will work in a small team focused on improving our accounting of inventory and supplies. You and your colleagues will share responsibility for your assignment, incoming cases, and contribute to goal achievement. It is important to be driven, share knowledge, and take personal responsibility for our mission.
• You will also work with the authority's ongoing accounting, incoming and outgoing payments, monthly reconciliations, and year-end closing.
• Operational support primarily regarding inventory and supplies, as well as support for other colleagues within your area of responsibility.
• Monitoring and financial reporting of projects and operational activities.
• You will actively work on continuous improvements of routines, working methods, and monitor the environment to simplify and streamline inventory management and its accounting within the authority.
• The role also includes other common tasks within the section and tasks that belong to other groups, such as reporting on assets including activations and inventories.

We are looking for someone who has:

• Higher vocational education in financial administration or another combination of educational and experiential background that the Swedish Prison and Probation Service deems relevant.
• Experience working as an accountant.
• Experience with year-end closing work.
• Ability to express yourself well in spoken and written Swedish.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel and Word).

It is advantageous if you have:

• Training in the financial system Unit4 ERP or another financial system.
• Other training in public accounting.
• Experience working with inventory and supplies.
• Experience in public accounting and public sector work.
• Experience with the financial system Unit4 ERP and Proceedo.
