Veteran and Family Coordinator at the HR Section

Flotilla Staff, A1, HR Section

A1 is a department belonging to the Helicopter Flotilla's staff and works with the overall HR and personnel work for the entire flotilla. A1 is divided into three sections; Personnel Section, HR Section, and Recruitment Section. The staff working at A1 consists of, among others, HR specialists, HR generalists, Work Environment Officers, personnel officers, and wellness leaders. The work is mainly consultative and consists of HR, personnel supply, training, wellness issues, and support to managers in various types of questions.

Main Responsibilities

The Swedish Armed Forces (FM) has a statutory responsibility to monitor the physical and mental health of personnel (overseas veterans) who have participated in international military operations (IMI).

As a veteran and family coordinator, your role will be to be the unit's coordinator and contact person for the commander, relatives, and the cooperating organizations that work voluntarily with veterans and their families.

The work consists of informing, guiding, and providing support. Some administrative tasks are included. Organize various social activities for veterans and their families, both before and after an IMI. The social activities may include lectures on various topics and with different actors.

Be responsible for the Helicopter Flotilla's implementation of veteran events and support other veteran events. Be responsible for the Helicopter Flotilla's development of veteran work and relationships with volunteer organizations within veteran and family support.

You will also work with other related HR and personnel issues for A1 as needed.

Qualifications

  • Academic education in the HR field or other education/experience deemed equivalent
  • Experience working with meeting and conversing with people
  • Good ability to express oneself verbally and in writing in Swedish
  • Driver's license B

We are looking for someone who has the ability to work independently and has a good ability to structure their work while being flexible. To thrive in the role, you are relationship-building and collaborative. The work requires that you feel comfortable speaking in front of a group.

Meritorious

  • Several years of experience in operational HR work
  • Experience working with family issues
  • Experience working or serving in the Armed Forces
  • Experience working in the public sector, preferably state
  • Good ability to express oneself verbally and in writing in English

Employment form: permanent. The Armed Forces applies a six-month probationary period for those who are not employed by the authority.

Civil position

The position requires physical ability for the position, conducting business trips, participating in training and exercises in the war organization.
