Driving Internal Communicator
Do you have experience in developing the communicative approach within an organization and driving and developing intranets based on employee needs? Then you might be the one we are looking for for a short-term substitute position.
The Swedish National Debt Office (Riksgälden) is a government agency reporting to the Ministry of Finance. Our operations contribute to keeping the state's costs and risks as low as possible and ensuring the stability of the financial system.
We offer you
As an internal communicator at Riksgälden, you will play a central role in developing, anchoring, and implementing effective and purposeful internal communication within the organization. You will be responsible for driving the change work of a communicative approach that supports both our values and the organization's goals. You will be the channel manager for the intranet and lead the work of developing structures, processes, and content. You will also coordinate the editorial work to ensure that our communication is both effective and engaging.
Your work will include project managing communication activities, including planning and conducting cross-functional meetings. In your communication with Riksgälden's employees, you will closely collaborate with key internal functions such as HR and the management team.
You will report to the communications manager, who is part of Riksgälden's management team. The communications team consists of you and six colleagues: press officer, webmaster, translator, and communicators. We work closely together and often step into each other's roles to support with tasks.

Your profile:
We are looking for someone who takes initiative, drives work forward, and collaborates well with others. You are self-assured, take responsibility for your own development as well as for results and relationships.
You have a holistic view and understand how daily work connects to overarching goals and how your role affects other parts of the organization. You are meticulous and have an eye for detail but also ensure that communication works in practice. You deliver quality and work methodically and focused towards goals. Additionally, you plan your work well and maintain order even when the pace is high.
You should also have:
- Education in communication, journalism, or another relevant field.
- At least 5 years of experience in qualified work as a communicator.
- Work experience in communication from a government agency.
- Experience working with management and management communication.
- Current experience working with the CMS tool Sitevision.
- Broad experience with digital tools.
- Experience being responsible for intranets, including content development and coordination of editorial work.
- Good understanding of accessibility requirements and the ability to ensure that all communication meets these standards.
- Very good language skills in Swedish – both spoken and written – and the ability to write in plain language, generate interest, and make complex information easy to understand.
Meritorious:
- Experience in analytical work related to intranet statistics.
- Experience working with DAM tools integrated with intranets.
- Current experience in digital/moving production.

Riksgälden offers generous vacation terms, salary exchange for pension, wellness grants, wellness hours, and access to a gym. All employees have access to their own workspace in the office, but it is possible to agree with your manager to work remotely up to 2.5 days a week.
Financial holdings
As an employee of Riksgälden, you are required to report your holdings of financial instruments. To hold shares in a bank as an employee of Riksgälden, special permission is required.
Security classified position
As an employee at Riksgälden, you may be subject to military placement based on total defense needs. Certain roles are classified for security purposes, and Swedish citizenship may therefore be a requirement.
