The Culture School in Fagersta is part of the Welfare and Service Administration in Fagersta Municipality.

We offer a creative and inclusive environment where children and young people aged 5–25 can develop their interests in music, dance, visual arts, and crafts. Our operation consists of 9 dedicated culture school teachers, and we annually organize appreciated events such as Culture School Day and Christmas Concert.

You will become a part of this and drive the culture school's operations forward together with teachers and the cultural manager.

Your mission

As a coordinator for the Culture School, you will combine practical, operational work with coordination, structure, and development. You will, among other things:

• Lead staff meetings together with the manager and follow up on them.
• Support teachers in teaching and at various events.
• Collaborate with associations and schools.
• Participate in working groups and lead events such as Culture School Day and National Day celebrations.

The position also involves irregular working hours, heavy lifting, and practical work. You will be the administrator for the Culture School's digital system, which requires good IT skills. Depending on your competence, teaching/support for teaching may be relevant.

Your qualifications and merits

Requirements: Educational background, preferably in music, or other education/experience deemed relevant by the employer.

Desirable: Experience in culture school operations or similar.

Requirements: Good IT skills, a driver's license, and preferably access to a car.

Experience working in a culture school or similar operation.

Experience in creative processes.

Meritorious: Leadership experience, event organization, artistic competence (instrument, dance, or visual arts).
