Your Responsibilities
The position is a part-time temporary contract, 50%, until August 27, 2027. Start date is May 18, 2026. How the working hours will be scheduled will be decided in dialogue between employer and employee.
The work as a customer service assistant involves contact with citizens primarily via telephone but also through visits and digital channels. As a colleague in customer service, you are the first person citizens meet when they contact the municipality. You provide information, give advice, and guidance with high availability, professional treatment, and broad competence. You will work with administration and processing of the inquiries that come to us in customer service and, if necessary, guide to other activities within the municipality. Your work enables easier contact with the municipality and thus a simpler everyday life for our residents.
The job also includes assisting internal and external customers at the customer service reception.
Your Profile
To succeed in the role, we see that you:
- have completed upper secondary education.
- have a clear service and citizen focus.
- express yourself well in Swedish both verbally and in writing.
- have basic digital competence and find it easy to learn new systems.
- are comfortable using the phone as your main working tool.
- can work in a structured manner and follow routines, guidelines, and instructions.
It is an advantage if you also have:
- experience in customer service, call centers, or reception.
- experience from public operations, preferably a municipality.
- post-secondary education in e.g. administration, service, social sciences, or similar.
- experience working with digital case management systems.
- knowledge of sign language.
We are looking for someone with a strong service and citizen focus who enjoys daily contact with people in various life situations. You are attentive, communicative, and pedagogical, and can explain information clearly and understandably. You have the ability to provide factual advice and guidance, even in complex matters. You treat everyone with respect, professionalism, and patience, even in pressured situations. You are solution-oriented and take responsibility for ensuring that the citizen receives the right help - directly or through the right path within the organization.
You are comfortable in conversations via phone and also at ease with personal meetings and digital channels. You always strive to provide a good reception. You are stable and can meet people in vulnerable situations. You are structured and meticulous, have good collaboration skills, and contribute to a positive and professional work climate. You are flexible in an environment where planning and routines may change. In this role, you will be solution-oriented and flexible.
For us, it is important that you contribute to high availability and quality in contact with the municipality's citizens.
About the Workplace
We welcome you to our team consisting of five customer service officers and a department manager. Your workplace is in the municipal building in central Leksand, close to both train and bus connections.
