We are now looking for a regional lawyer, who, together with other lawyers, will be placed in the Secretariat Department within the Regional Executive's administration. In addition to the regional lawyers, the Secretariat Department has a committee team and a documentation team. Currently, there are four lawyers and a data protection officer working in the department, providing legal support to the regional director and other management staff. We are looking for someone who wants to be part of an exciting development journey and work in a close-knit team. Regional Lawyer in AI Legislation
Job ResponsibilitiesAs a regional lawyer, you will have a central role in the organization, working broadly with legal issues across various areas of law. This position has a particular focus on artificial intelligence (AI) and digitalization, where you will become a key person in ensuring that the region's AI solutions are developed and used in accordance with applicable laws, ethical guidelines, and data protection regulations.
In this role, you will provide qualified legal advice on AI legislation, with a particular emphasis on the EU's AI Regulation. You will be responsible for conducting internal training in relevant areas of law and contributing to raising the competence within the organization. Together with the region's data protection officer, you will closely address issues related to personal data processing, data processing agreements, and impact assessments, particularly related to AI applications and digital systems. You will ensure that the operations comply with applicable regulations and that legal risks are managed proactively. You will handle cases daily with varying degrees of complexity, providing independent legal advice.
Additional InformationQualificationsRequirements:
- You have a law degree
- Solid experience in qualified legal research work
- Knowledge of AI legislation, such as the EU's AI Regulation
Meritorious:
- Experience in GDPR or data protection regulations
- Understanding of how a politically governed public administration operates
