Your workday as an educational administrator

Dalarna University is now seeking a temporary educational administrator. In the role of educational administrator, you will have close contact with and support the institutions by proactively assisting with the planning and structuring of the university's educational offerings. You will work with study documentation, scheduling, planning and following up on students, and also handle some more complex inquiries of an investigative nature primarily from students. The work is performed daily through several of our administrative support systems such as Ladok, NyA, and TimeEdit, as well as through the university's case management system.

You will work closely and be a great support for employees within the institutions, while also collaborating closely with the entire department for student and educational support. Together with six other administrators, you will work to develop our administrative processes and routines according to the needs of the education. Together with the institutions, we develop the operations to create good conditions for students to participate in education. The unit for student support and educational administration is a central unit within the university's operational support, consisting of 23 employees. The unit includes educational administration, study guidance, student health, and examinations, and is one of three units within the department for student and educational support responsible for all study administration and student support, both centrally and towards the institutions.

Are you the person we are looking for?

Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you should be a structured person with the ability to work long-term to develop the university's educational administrative processes in a legally secure manner. You will work closely with the institutions and your colleagues in the department, and therefore need to have very good collaborative skills and be service-oriented.

You also need to have:

• an academic degree in a field that the employer deems relevant
• documented experience of similar work that the employer considers relevant
• good knowledge of digital tools/administrative systems
• good knowledge of Swedish and English in both speech and writing

Meritorious for the role is if you:

• have experience working in a system within educational administration or another personal data-based system (such as NyA, Ladok, TimeEdit)
• have previously worked with similar tasks at a higher education institution

Employment

The employment is a temporary position until 2027-05-31 with a full-time workload, starting according to agreement. Dalarna University operates in two locations. The placement for this position is Falun, and some work will also take place in Borlänge.
