Since autumn 2017, there has been a Service Center in Borlänge municipality located in the City Hall.

The Service Center is the municipality's cohesive contact point for the residents of Borlänge. The Service Center handles incoming calls to the municipality, receives visitors in the municipal reception, manages the municipality's chat, and incoming emails. No day is the same, and we interact with Borlänge residents with various requests and needs.

The goal of the operation is to answer simpler questions immediately and to direct those that require more specialized knowledge to the right group or person in the municipality.

Service and pleasant interaction are the key words in the operation. All inquiries are handled using various case management systems, which means you should have very good computer skills.

The operation is open on weekdays between 08:00 – 16:30, excluding holidays.

We are now looking for someone who wants to work as a substitute with us.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a municipal guide at the Service Center, you will answer incoming calls to the municipality, receive visitors in the reception, and manage emails and chats from those seeking contact with the municipality.

With the help of our case management system and other operational systems, you provide Borlänge residents with direct answers to their questions. Some inquiries you will forward to colleagues in other departments of the municipality.

The main tasks consist of:

  • Handling and answering common questions from Borlänge residents.
  • Receiving and assisting with applications, providing information, copying, printing, and helping Borlänge residents use the municipality's e-services.
  • Facilitating for the municipality's various operations/units by distributing cases to them via the case management system. Sometimes, the operations also need to be contacted by phone.

You should have the ability to work at a high pace while maintaining a good level of service and quality.

You are passionate about providing excellent service and enjoy meeting people.

You have the ability to meet people in various life situations with respect, attentiveness, and professionalism. The role involves meetings with individuals who may be in vulnerable or emotionally stressful situations.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has at least completed high school education and preferably has documented experience working in customer service/contact centers.

It is an advantage if you have completed or started a university education with a relevant focus.

For you, it is natural to provide answers to questions and find solutions to the problems that Borlänge residents have in a friendly and trustworthy manner. To succeed in meeting Borlänge residents, you must have a very good command of both Swedish and English.

For the position, it is advantageous if you have experience working in a politically governed organization.

Your computer skills are very good, and you seek information while Borlänge residents are waiting without feeling stressed.

Regarding your personal qualities, we are looking for someone who is flexible, meticulous, open, and has a sense of good service. The work involves a pleasant mix of following given routines and finding solutions to Borlänge residents' inquiries in the best possible way.

You enjoy collaborating and are willing to ask questions when you do not understand or know the answer.

A given requirement for the position is that you enjoy meeting people, as this is something we do all day!
