As a Fleet Manager for Rail Vehicles at the Swedish Transport Administration, you will play a key role in building our reception organization in preparation for the delivery of new vehicles in the coming years. About the role

In this role, you will have a broad and responsible assignment where you:

• lead the work to establish and develop structures, processes, and routines for the reception, quality monitoring, and delivery control of new railway vehicles
• collaborate closely with project managers, suppliers, and technical specialists throughout the delivery and commissioning phases
• ensure that maintenance of vehicles and safety-critical components is carried out in accordance with the ECM regulation (EU 2019/779) and apply CSM-RA in risk management and safety processes.
• follow up on quality, documentation, and warranty conditions, as well as manage technical deviations and feedback
• contribute to building competence and working methods within the future reception and management organization
• participate in procurement, contract management, and coordination of maintenance efforts
• become a central part of an engaged and growing team where collaboration and a holistic view are crucial. The position involves some travel within Sweden and some travel within Europe as vehicles will be manufactured abroad.

We are looking for someone who has:

• a university degree of 180 credits (120 ECTS) with a technical focus, or other education combined with experience that we assess as equivalent
• in-depth technical knowledge of railway vehicles, vehicle systems, or vehicle maintenance
• several years of experience in management, quality monitoring, or technical project management within the railway sector or other heavy technology-intensive industries
• experience working within the framework of ECM and applying CSM-RA
• good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish and English
• a valid driver's license (B)

It is advantageous if you have:

• experience in vehicle reception, commissioning, or technical delivery reviews
• previous work with public procurement, requirement monitoring against suppliers
• experience in training, technical documentation, or knowledge transfer within railway vehicles
• experience in systematic quality work and monitoring of technical deliveries

The Vehicle Resources of the Swedish Transport Administration is one of the result units of the Swedish Transport Administration, and the operations are conducted in company-like forms. This includes managing operations as a railway company, delivering and renting out rail vehicles and road vehicles.
