About Mora District Court

Mora District Court is a general court that handles and decides criminal cases, civil cases, bankruptcy matters, and other court cases. The court has 18 employees.

The court's jurisdiction includes the municipalities of Leksand, Malung-Sälen, Mora, Orsa, Rättvik, Vansbro, and Älvdalen. Sweden's courts have begun a comprehensive digitization of case management, and Mora District Court is at the forefront of this work. The court is located in central Mora in a beautiful building from the early 1900s with a view over Lake Siljan.

The Work Involves

As a summer clerk, you will have the opportunity to draft proposals for judgments and decisions, conduct legal research and confidentiality assessments, participate in the preparation of cases and matters, and keep minutes during hearings and other meetings. Some administrative tasks may also be involved. You will belong to the clerk group and work closely with the court's chief judge, judges, clerks, and court administrators.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone studying at the law program who has completed courses in criminal law and procedural law. You have good grades from completed parts of the education, are meticulous, and have good collaboration skills.

Great emphasis will be placed on your personal letter, your grades, and how you justify your interest in working as a summer clerk at our court.
