The End-User Regulation Unit is responsible for issues concerning end-users' rights in the telecommunications sector, including issues related to information, binding and termination periods, and the right to confidential communication. One of the unit's current focus areas is combating unethical sales and fraud within electronic communication. The unit also supervises the payment sector to ensure that credit institutions provide cash services throughout the country. Additionally, we are responsible for the authority's promotion work regarding basic payment services and the agency's external whistleblower function.

About the Role

As a lawyer with us, you will have a central and varied role where you contribute to both societal benefit and strong end-user protection. You will work with supervision, legal investigations, and ensure that regulations are applied correctly, while also having the opportunity to influence the development in markets characterized by rapid change and technological development.

In your daily work, you will handle and present cases for the competent decision-maker, conduct legal investigations, and prepare decision drafts, memorandums, and reports. You will participate in – and may also lead – investigations, projects, and cross-agency working groups. The role also includes working with regulations and consultations as well as developing our processes and working methods.

You will collaborate broadly with both internal and external stakeholders, such as colleagues with various specialist competencies, the Government Offices, other authorities, industry representatives, and international working groups. About You

We are looking for someone who is collaborative and enjoys working together with others to achieve common goals. You are structured and work goal-oriented by planning, organizing, and prioritizing your work effectively, focusing on quality and timely delivery. You are stable and constructive even in pressured situations and handle setbacks and changes in an unpretentious manner. Furthermore, you are solution-oriented, take initiative, and have a flexible and pragmatic approach that allows you to quickly find ways forward when challenges arise. We place great importance on your personal qualities.

We are looking for you who have:

• Law degree or equivalent
• Several years of relevant work experience in qualified legal work
• Clerkship or equivalent qualified legal work within government administration
• Very good communication skills in Swedish and English

It is also meritorious if you have:

• Relevant work experience in supervisory work at a government authority
• Relevant work experience in public administration, e.g., as a legal advisor, with investigative work or regulatory work
• Work experience in the telecommunications sector or payment area
• Work experience in interdisciplinary collaboration (e.g., with other professional categories or competencies)

Good to Know

The position is a permanent employment with an initial probationary period of six months. Placement in Stockholm with a start as soon as possible by agreement. Your job title will be lawyer.
