Legal Advisor at Kammarkollegiet

As a legal advisor at Kammarkollegiet, you will work closely with the operations and help shape a legally secure authority at the forefront!

Kammarkollegiet is a government authority with a long history and a broad and differentiated societal mission. The authority works with legal services, asset management, insurance solutions, and administrative assignments for the state, municipalities, and regions.

The Legal Secretariat is the authority's support and control function in information management and legal matters. This means that the Legal Secretariat is responsible for archives, registries, and coordination of information management within Kammarkollegiet, as well as ensuring that the authority complies with the Freedom of the Press Act, the Public Access to Information and Secrecy Act, the Archives Act, and other relevant legislation. The Legal Secretariat is also responsible for administrative law issues, monitors cross-authority legislation, and coordinates referral work, policy, and method development within its area of operations.

The Role of Legal Advisor

As a legal advisor, you will collaborate within the department, with other support functions, and with the authority's other departments to provide legal guidance and support. The work has a very broad legal focus and scope and also includes working with certain legal special legislations. The work also involves producing guidance and support documents, conducting training, and participating as an expert in various development projects and working groups. You will contribute to the development of legal guidance and provide support to all operational areas within the authority. You are also expected to contribute to the Legal Secretariat's work on operational development within the framework of the assignment as the authority's support and control function in legal matters.

Qualifications

We are now looking for a qualified lawyer who meets the following requirements:

  • Swedish law degree (jur.kand./juristexamen) (180/270 credits)
  • Notary qualification or equivalent professional experience from a court and/or government authority deemed relevant for the position
  • At least five years of documented and relevant experience from independently qualified legal work in a government authority or public sector.
  • Good knowledge of administrative law, public access and secrecy, as well as data protection issues.
  • Very good knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing

Meritorious for the position is:

  • Experience in public procurement.
  • Current experience in one or more of the following legal areas: security protection, IT security (information security), security-protected procurement, and contract law
  • Experience in other legal areas within the authority's core operations
  • Worked as a legal advisor or in a similar role at another government authority.

Personal Qualities

As a person, you are driven, development-oriented, and can work independently and results-oriented. You are meticulous and structured with a good ability to coordinate and drive work forward. You are flexible, attentive, and have an easy time collaborating with others.

Furthermore, you must be able to adapt to new situations and work with legal issues even outside your core competencies, even under time pressure.

As a lawyer, you are confident in your professional practice, used to proposing solutions based on the needs, roles, and assignments of the operations.

You have an interest and aptitude for working cross-sectorally and enjoy working consultatively.

More Information

Start as soon as possible or by agreement. The employment is a fixed-term position for approximately 12 months. We are located in nice activity-based premises in Gamla Stan in central Stockholm, with the possibility of remote work as far as the operations allow.
