About the job

The General Data Protection Regulation imposes high demands on authorities that process personal data. In your new role, you will be part of a team that supports colleagues (employees and managers) in the Public and Property Department on data protection issues. Your and the team's tasks include, among other things, assessing the legal conditions for the correct processing of personal data, mapping the department's needs in the area of data protection, and contributing to the development of competence in data protection. The team also collaborates with other departments.

You and your colleagues plan and drive the team's work based on your team assignment and the department's needs. You should be someone who enjoys working in a team, where the common mission guides you and your colleagues to achieve your shared goal. The work is qualified, and you will develop new knowledge both broadly and deeply. You will also participate in various improvement and development assignments alongside your other tasks. The work involves many internal contacts.

You belong to section 7 in unit 1 of the Public and Property Department. In our section, we have 17 colleagues, of whom five work in the team on data protection issues. The team members are currently located in five different locations and collaborate virtually.

Possible locations are Sundbyberg, Gothenburg, and Malmö.

About you

You should also have:

• a completed law degree of 270 credits (180 credits according to the old system)
• several years of relevant work experience in independently working with data protection issues

It is desirable that you have relevant university credits in data protection law.

Good to know

The employment is permanent and may start with a six-month probationary period.

Employment with us may involve placement in a security class. A security review with a background check according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) may therefore be conducted before a decision on employment. For some of our tasks in the security class, Swedish citizenship is required.
