Job Description

We are looking for a driven economist to the finance department of a larger public education and research organization.

The finance department provides support and coordinates the organization's financial reporting, financial management, cash flows, as well as work with purchasing and procurement. The department is responsible for routines for financial management and reporting, as well as for the application of financial administrative regulations for public activities. This includes, among other things, the establishment of internal regulations and routines for financial management and procurement.

The department's work is organized into several groups, several of which work with targeted financial support to different parts of the organization.

The economist will be responsible for the financial management of projects, from budgeting at application to reporting. The work is carried out in close collaboration with researchers and project managers.

Responsibilities

• Financial work related to research-funded projects
• Budget and forecast follow-up for grant-funded projects
• Management of EU-funded projects including reporting
• Reporting to funders in accordance with agreements

Mandatory Requirements

• Experience in financial work related to research-funded projects within a government agency, university, or other research environment
• Experience in budget and forecast follow-up for grant-funded projects within a government agency, university, or other research environment
• Experience in working with EU-funded projects including reporting within a government agency, university, or other research environment
• Experience in working with the financial system Unit4 (Agresso)
• Experience in reporting to funders according to agreements
• Experience in working with the HR system HR-plus Visma
• Interviews are expected to take place during the specified period and the consultant needs to be available then
