We are looking for a driven and committed economist for a consulting assignment with a larger organization in higher education in Stockholm. The assignment is full-time and runs from February until the end of October 2026 📊

About the assignment You will be part of the finance department responsible for coordinating and developing financial reporting, financial management, cash flows, as well as work with purchasing and procurement. The department operates according to government financial administrative regulations and provides both central and targeted support to various operations.

In this role, you will be responsible for the financial management of research-funded projects, from budgeting in the application phase to ongoing monitoring and final reporting. The work is carried out in close collaboration with researchers and other internal functions in an international environment 🌍

Responsibilities Financial work related to research-funded projects Budget and forecast monitoring for grant-funded projects Management of EU-funded projects including reporting Reporting to funders in accordance with agreements Ongoing dialogue and support to researchers regarding finance and project monitoring

The assignment is performed on-site at the client's location in Stockholm.

Requirements Documented experience in financial work related to research-funded projects at a government agency, university, or other research environment Experience in budget and forecast monitoring for grant-funded projects within the aforementioned environments Experience working with EU-funded projects including reporting Experience working in the financial system Unit4 (Agresso) Experience in reporting to funders according to agreements Experience working in the HR system HR-plus Visma
