Job Description
Do you want to work at the heart of Swedish research and academia? We are now looking for a driven and meticulous Controller for an exciting consulting assignment via Randstad Finance with one of our attractive clients in Stockholm.
In the role of Controller, you will be responsible for the financial management of research projects – from budgeting at application to ongoing monitoring and final reporting. You will work closely with researchers and colleagues in the finance department to ensure compliance with financial regulations.
This is a consulting assignment at 100% with a start date of February 1, 2026 (or by agreement). The assignment initially runs until October 31, 2026, with good opportunities for extension. The workplace is located on the central campus in Stockholm.
Your main responsibilities
Budgeting and financial planning for project applications.
Forecasting and ongoing monitoring of grant-funded projects.
Reporting to external funders (including the EU) in accordance with specific agreements.
Financial management in the systems Unit4 (Agresso) and HR-plus/Visma.
Personal qualities
We are looking for someone who is self-driven, analytical, and has a strong service mindset. Since you will be working closely with the researchers, it is important that you are communicative and enjoy providing pedagogical financial support.

Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you must meet all of the following requirements. We will only proceed with candidates who match this entire profile:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent education and completed post-secondary education in the relevant field (economics).
- Experience: At least three (3) years of work experience as a controller.
- Industry experience: Documented experience in governmental accounting and economic work related to research-funded projects at an authority, university, or other research environment.
- Project financing: Experience working with budgeting, forecasting, and reporting for grant-funded projects, including EU-funded projects.
- System knowledge:
- Very good knowledge of the business system Unit4 (Agresso).
- Experience with HR-plus/Visma.
- Knowledge of analytical tools (such as QlikView or Insikt).
- Good knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel) or equivalent.
- Language: You can communicate fluently in Swedish, both spoken and written.
