Currently, the IT department consists of over 1,400 employees who together manage procurement, development, operations, security, and maintenance of IT support for the authority's various operational areas. We also collaborate on technical issues and procurements with other law enforcement agencies in the country and actively contribute to the law enforcement work within the EU. We also support police operations in various types of cases.
Job Description
The IT law group currently consists of nine employees and a manager and primarily works with contract law, procurement law, IT law, licensing agreements, AI, consultations, data protection, and contract issues related to video surveillance. We are looking for another lawyer who is passionate about procurement law and contracts and who wants to ensure good business through their work. The IT law group provides support to the IT procurement function and other units within the IT department. You will work on challenging and interesting procurement and purchasing assignments involving advanced IT technology in close collaboration with police operations.
Your main tasks will be to provide active and advisory support in procurements within the IT legal area and in orders from existing contracts with a focus on procurement law. In addition, you will work on several developing areas such as contract law, transparency and confidentiality, and general administrative law. There is also an opportunity, within the framework of the tasks, to provide feedback on consultations and governing documents within the IT legal area. You will work closely with the operations and have frequent contact with many skilled specialists in IT.
Main tasks:
- Review and support in the drafting of contracts and other procurement documents
- Advice on contract issues
- Conduct legal investigations
- Manage court processes regarding reviews/appeals concerning procurements
- Be responsible for monitoring the procurement area
- Conduct internal training within the procurement area
Qualifications
This is an opportunity for you who have:
- Law degree or equivalent
- Several years of recent experience working with procurement law according to the Public Procurement Act (LOU) that the employer deems relevant for the position
- Recent experience in reviewing and drafting contracts that the employer deems relevant for the position
- Good stylistic ability in writing, as well as experience in giving presentations recently
- Very good ability to communicate in Swedish and English, both orally and in writing
It is advantageous if you also have recently:
- Experience with the Public Procurement Act in the defense and security sector (LUFS)
- Work experience or education in security protection law
- Experience in contract negotiations
- Experience in independently managing court processes regarding reviews/appeals concerning procurements
- Experience in conducting procurements and/or renewed competitive bidding
- Experience in contract law, particularly in the IT and telecommunications sector
The position requires Swedish citizenship.
