Investigator at the Swedish National Audit Office
Do you want to help develop governance in the state? The Swedish National Audit Office is now looking for a qualified and committed investigator who wants to work on developing and coordinating the state’s internal audit.
Your Role and Responsibilities
The Swedish National Audit Office develops, manages, and coordinates the state’s internal audit and develops and manages internal governance and control in the state.
As an investigator with us, you will have a varied and responsible role with a broad network of contacts. Your main task is to, together with your colleagues, be responsible for developing, managing, and coordinating the internal audit system in the state. You will also work on developing and managing internal governance and control in the state. A significant part of our development work involves understanding how AI can be used in economic governance and how we can work more data-driven.
Your primary tasks include:
- Being responsible for the annual reporting to the government on the state’s internal audit and the agencies’ internal governance and control.
- Coordinating and handling all tasks related to the internal audit council.
- Developing new regulations and general advice.
- Conducting and developing training, both digitally and physically.
- Driving investigative and development work, including on the impact of AI on internal audit.
- Being responsible for the web-based knowledge support in the area.
- Monitoring the external environment and maintaining good relationships with external parties.
Your Background and Competence
We are looking for someone who has:
- A completed academic education, for example as a business economist or another relevant field.
- Several years of experience in internal audit, auditing, or reviewing internal governance and control.
- Experience working in a government agency.
- Good knowledge of government administration and state governance.
Meritorious:
- Experience in conducting training.
- Certified internal auditor (CIA).
- Experience with AI tools for text and data processing.
- Experience working in a central risk or controller function in a government agency.
Your Personal Qualities
We are looking for someone who is analytical, structured, and development-oriented with the ability to meet deadlines and manage parallel workflows. You need to have a good ability to independently conduct investigative work and prioritize effectively.
You have a strong commitment to governance issues in the public sector and thrive in a role with many points of contact.
To succeed in the role, you need to be collaborative and unpretentious. You also need to be curious and keep yourself updated in your area of expertise. We place great emphasis on personal qualities.
