The Social Administration (SCF) is led by a director and is divided into four departments: SCF Staff, Child and Youth Authority, Child and Youth Interventions, and Adults.

The Social Administration in Uppsala is transitioning to the new social services act and is focusing on high quality in its work. One of the department's main focuses is to promote the participation of children and families and increase the involvement of networks.
The Network Center is a new collaborative function aimed at preventing placements and strengthening children's contact with their networks. The purpose of the operation is closer cooperation between the Child and Youth Authority and Child and Youth Interventions, as well as new structures for working with home return processes and crisis support.
As a Parent Supporter, you will be employed in targeted support, Child and Youth Authority, but work with our newly established Network Center. Targeted support is an important part of the quality work within the department and currently consists of eight experienced caseworkers, two team leaders, four coordinators, and one area manager. In the spring, three new positions will be added for work with the Network Center.

Job Description
As a Parent Supporter, you will work closely with other functions within the Network Center under the leadership of the team's leader. Your mission as a Parent Supporter is to provide crisis support to biological parents when their children are placed, as well as to provide support and guidance during the time their children are placed in community care. The aim is to strengthen the biological parents' involvement in the child's life and create understanding of the new parental role.
Some work outside of office hours may occur as an important part of the role is crisis support related to the placement.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who is a trained social worker or has another qualification that the employer deems equivalent. We expect you to have several years of experience working within the Child and Youth Authority. To succeed in this role, you need to have solid knowledge of and experience with placed children and the legislation that governs this area. The work requires that you have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written. A B driver's license is considered an asset.
As a person, you are good at creating new contacts and maintaining and developing relationships. You are proactive and can initiate activities to achieve results. Furthermore, you are flexible and can easily adapt to changing circumstances. The job suits you if you collaborate and relate to others in a responsive and smooth manner. Last but not least, you are calm, attentive, and accommodating in your interactions.
