Personal assistance is a service according to LSS (the Act on Support and Service for Certain Disabled Persons). As a personal assistant, you provide individual support and care to individuals who have been granted personal assistance because they need help with one or more basic needs. Each client is unique, and your tasks vary based on the client's needs. You respect the client's self-determination and integrity, and contribute to making everyday life run smoothly.

About the position

The role of a personal assistant places high demands on the ability to create safe and trusting relationships. Therefore, we are looking for someone who is attentive, engaged, and responsible. The work involves being close and present in everyday life, as well as noticing and interpreting the client's needs, as she communicates using alternative communication methods. It is also important that you can take your own initiatives, be active in the interaction, and see what needs to be done for everyday life to function in a safe and structured way, both at home and in connection with school and activities.

We are now looking for someone who fits the following:

• Wants to work with a 14-year-old girl living in Bålsta

• Has good knowledge of Swedish

• Has a B driver's license and access to a car, as the client lives in a remote area and public transport is limited

• Is tolerant of dogs, as there is a dog in the family

It is also an advantage if you:

• Have experience in personal assistance or work in healthcare and social services

• Have experience working with children

• Are calm, patient, and secure in yourself

• Are social, take initiative, and dare to take space in the role

• Share the client's interests, such as reading or singing for her

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

Working hours, employment rate, and salary:

The current employment form is “As long as the assistance assignment lasts”. There are two positions, one of which is approximately 50%.

The work is scheduled for afternoons, evenings, and nights according to a rolling 2-week schedule:

Week 1:

• Monday 4:00 PM–7:30 AM (including about 9 hours of on-call)

• Wednesday 4:00 PM–7:30 AM (including about 9 hours of on-call)

• Friday 2:00 PM–9:00 PM

Week 2:

• Monday 4:00 PM–9:00 PM

• Wednesday 4:00 PM–9:00 PM

• Friday 2:00 PM–9:00 PM

Fixed hourly wage according to agreement and other compensations are in accordance with the collective agreement.

Being employed at Humana

A prerequisite for starting employment with us at Humana is that you, as an applicant, can present a valid ID and any documents that prove your right to work in Sweden. To work as a personal assistant, you must be at least 18 years old.

According to legislation, we as an employer are required to request a criminal record extract from all employees who will work as a personal assistant for a child under 18 years old. Therefore, you need to present an extract from the police's criminal record before a potential employment. Further information will be provided if you proceed in the recruitment process.
