Treatment Pedagogue at Iris Enköping

Iris Development Center Enköping is a residential care home with a focus on dual diagnosis involving substance abuse/dependency and mental health issues. The facility is located in Grillby, about 10 kilometers outside of Enköping.

The Assignment and Your Role

As a treatment pedagogue, you have a significant responsibility for our clients' well-being. Together with other staff, you are a role model and responsible for creating safety and stability in our operations. Your area of responsibility includes qualified care and motivational work where we build secure relationships for treatment and motivation towards new, less risky ways of living. You work both in a team and independently with the clients' treatment efforts. Documentation is a natural part of everyday work.

Your Profile and Background

To succeed in this role, you are a person who stands firmly with both feet on the ground. You are an open and positive person with a good ability to listen and meet people where they are. You have the ability to motivate and inspire while also being able to set boundaries when necessary. You should be flexible while understanding the importance of maintaining routines. We prefer that you have post-secondary education in social work, e.g., treatment pedagogue or another equivalent education and experience assessed by us. Further training or courses in areas such as ACT, MI, Relapse Prevention, NADA, Yoga, Mindfulness, Crime, etc., are advantageous. Everyone working with us understands the importance of respectful and warm interactions, both with colleagues and our clients. You recognize that we humans have more in common than what separates us.

About Us

Iris Development Center Enköping is a residential facility providing 24-hour care, located in a calm and beautiful community about 10 kilometers outside of Enköping. Both women and men aged 18 and older, with substance abuse issues combined with mental health problems, reside at the facility.

Iris Development Center is run by employees who want to create change for people facing life problems rooted in dependency and mental health issues. Our purpose is to help our clients achieve lasting change through individually tailored treatment programs – a sustainable and dignified everyday life. Iris Development Center AB was founded in 1986 and is an employee-owned healthcare company that currently operates in Enköping, Hestra, Mullsjö, Ryfors, Simtuna, and Stockholm.
