We are now looking for support staff to join our team at Nytida Brostugegården. We offer training and a developing job where you can make a difference! The positions are part-time.

About Brostugegården

Brostugegården is a residence for individuals with mental disabilities. We started in 1972 and currently have 30 residential places. Brostugegården is beautifully located by the outlet of Fyrisån in Ekoln in southern Uppsala. The proximity to walking paths, swimming areas, and outdoor spaces provides us with unique opportunities for lovely walks and outdoor activities.

About the role In the role of support staff, you will base your work on the individual needs and wishes of the residents and provide support in their daily lives from a pedagogical approach. Together with other colleagues, you will work towards making each day meaningful and enriching. You will support and guide with personal care, meals, medication management, cleaning, community contacts, and communication. An important part of the job is to stimulate and motivate the residents to develop their abilities and create opportunities for an active and meaningful leisure time. Your tasks will also include documenting and planning based on implementation plans. Working hours are scheduled during the day, evening, night, and weekends.

You will have a group leader close to you who works part-time in the operation. This could also be a future career opportunity for you.

Your experience and knowledge You who are applying have a high school education in care and nursing or another equivalent education. You have good knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form, good computer skills, and experience with documentation. It is an advantage if you have experience working with the target group. Otherwise, your CV is not the most important. If you have the right qualities, we will support you and provide opportunities for growth.

You have a positive outlook, a strong commitment to people, and are responsible. You enjoy working in a team and supporting your colleagues, always keeping our clients' best interests in mind in everything you do.
