💫 A little about me

I am an active and positive girl living just outside Uppsala. I love shopping, swimming, listening to music, hanging out with friends, reading, and taking long walks – preferably even when it’s a bit windy! I really appreciate excursions to new places and fun activities. Besides that, I am also in daily activities (DV), which I love.

🏡 What the job entails

As my personal assistant, you will be my support in everyday life – both at home and in daily activities (DV). Your tasks are varied and include, among other things:

• Assistance with personal hygiene, dressing and undressing, and transfers (ceiling lifts are used, but manual lifts occur).
• Feeding via gastrostomy, medication, and training to maintain my functions.
• Accompanying me on activities, walks, and excursions.
• I am an active person, so this is not a job where you sit still all day. I enjoy hanging out with my friends, shopping, and engaging in leisure activities.

I use a wheelchair and electric wheelchair, and I communicate with alternative communication methods, AAC, and signs – therefore, it is important that you have patience and a warm, encouraging manner.

📅 Working hours:

Weekdays 7–16 or 16–22, as well as weekends/holiday weekends 7–17 or 12–22. We are now looking for someone interested in an 80% position, which includes weekends, evenings, and day shifts.

🚗 Important to know

• There are pets in the home – so you should not be allergic.
• We are only looking for female assistants.
• A driver’s license and access to a car are required to get to and from the workplace, and you will also drive during work hours.

💖 Who are you?

You are a secure, calm, and responsible person who enjoys helping others. You have a good sense of humor, are meticulous, and find it easy to make contact. You are fluent in Swedish, both spoken and written.

Previous experience as a personal assistant is a plus – but the most important thing is your willingness to learn and your commitment to making a difference in someone else's everyday life.
