The Social Services Department in Uppsala is transitioning to new social services legislation and is focusing on high quality in its work. One of the department's main focuses is to promote the participation of children and families and increase the involvement of networks. The Network Center is a new collaborative function aimed at preventing placements and strengthening children's connections with their networks. The purpose of the operation involves closer cooperation between the Child and Youth Authority and Child and Youth Services, as well as new structures for working with home relocation processes and crisis support.

The Family Support Group is part of the social services and currently consists of thirteen family educators and one manager shared with another unit. Our office is located on von Bahrs väg in Uppsala, but we cover the entire Uppsala Municipality as our work field. As a family therapist, you will belong to the Family Support Group but work specifically with our newly established Network Center.

Job Description

As a family therapist, you will work closely with other functions within the Network Center under the leadership of the team's manager. Your tasks will involve supporting visitation, network work, and home relocation processes. The goal is to provide early and intensive support to assist placed children and their networks in finding alternative solutions to placements by involving their networks. To succeed in this work, you need to be a confident and stable family therapist with a strong belief in families' own abilities. The work will be conducted both in homes and in our facilities through family therapy sessions and guided visitations.

Some work during inconvenient hours is included. Documentation is carried out in the operational system Lifecare.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is a social worker or behavioral scientist.

If you have training in systems theory, Signs of Safety, and Basic Psychotherapy Training, level 1, it is considered an advantage.

As a person, you collaborate and relate to others in a responsive and flexible manner. You are good at understanding others' perspectives and situations. Furthermore, you ensure that your message is conveyed and that expectations are clear for all parties involved. Additionally, you often come up with ideas and new approaches to work-related issues.
