Administrator at the Administration Office in Umeå Municipality

In Umeå Municipality, preschools and primary schools are organized into five school areas based on age and activities.

Each unit is led by a principal responsible for daily operations, while area managers have overall responsibility for their respective school areas.

The management office is located within the city hall area and is led by the Director of Education for preschool and primary school.

We are now looking for a skilled administrator to the administration office!

You will be part of the administration office and the finance department, led by the finance manager. Please read more about the operations here (#)!

Your tasks

As an administrator, you provide close administrative support to the management. The work is varied and includes both routine tasks and more qualified tasks and development work as outlined in the examples below:

• Purchasing and invoice management
• Invoicing
• Bookkeeping
• Documentation
• Preparing requested materials/templates/spreadsheets
• Administration of state grants

About you

We are looking for someone with a completed upper secondary school education, preferably with an economic focus. You also have several years of experience in administrative tasks full-time and good computer skills. Experience with Proceedo, Visma RoR, and Excel is an advantage.

As a person, you are service-oriented, flexible, structured, and possess good problem-solving skills. You can work independently on several tasks simultaneously, where you have your own drive, can see the big picture, and make relevant priorities in your work. You are proactive and action-oriented, have a rational working method, and can quickly learn new data systems and regulations as well as create routines that contribute to improvements and increased quality in the work you help implement. To thrive with us, you are stress-resistant and unpretentious and can work with both simpler administrative tasks and more qualified assignments from time to time. You have good collaboration skills and a service-oriented approach. We place great emphasis on personal qualities.

The position requires very good knowledge of Swedish in both speech and writing.

Due to the law on suitability checks, a certificate from the police's criminal record must be presented upon employment.
