Vattenfall Customer Service Nordic is responsible for sales, billing, and customer service for Vattenfall's customers in the Nordic region. Our headquarters is in Umeå, but we also have offices in Solna and Helsinki, with around 300 employees supporting Vattenfall's various businesses through customer interfaces. About the Role
We are now looking for a Director Business Support & Compliance at Vattenfall Customer Service AB, located in Solna or Umeå

Business Support & Compliance is an experienced team of about 35 employees with deep expertise and long experience. This is where we have gathered the expertise that supports both our internal clients at Vattenfall and our functions within Vattenfall Customer Service in areas such as operational monitoring and analysis, project management, payments, credit assessments, data protection, information security, quality, and the interface with both internal clients and external contacts to ensure a commercial approach in all our dialogues.
Responsibilities
Your task as Director Business Support & Compliance is to lead the business, embody our values, and communicate them within the organization while contributing to Vattenfall Customer Service's continued shared successes.
An important part of the role as Director is to take responsibility for delivering against agreed goals and to act strategically and tactically to develop the business to ensure long-term competitiveness and meet changing conditions.
Your main responsibilities:
- Lead and develop employees, steer the business towards set business goals, and be responsible for budget and personnel
- Leadership development with responsibility for strong leadership that permeates all levels of the organization
- Change management
- Actively participate in developing Vattenfall Customer Service
Director Utility Billing reports to the CEO of Vattenfall Customer Service and is part of the management team.
Requirements
We are looking for someone with relevant academic education or equivalent work experience. You have several years of documented experience leading leaders and a solid background in financial monitoring, operational management, data protection, and information security. Furthermore, excellent knowledge of both Swedish and English, both spoken and written, is required.
We consider it a significant advantage if you have experience from customer service operations and thus a good understanding of customer-facing processes and the operational challenges that follow. Experience from larger organizations with complex contact points is also viewed positively.
We are looking for a leader with a genuine interest in people and a secure, transparent, and courageous leadership style. You have the ability to drive change with integrity, communicate clearly and listen attentively, and are accustomed to giving and receiving constructive feedback. The role requires you to work both strategically and operationally, switching between the big picture and details, and taking clear ownership of issues and decisions. You are analytical, structured, and business-minded, and can explain complex information in an understandable way for different target groups. We seek a person who values engagement, a good work environment, and strong relationships, who builds effective teams, promotes collaboration, and takes the initiative to solve problems responsibly.

Location
Solna or Umeå.
Travel
If located in Solna, travel to Umeå is included on average twice a month. If located in Umeå, travel to Solna is included approximately every six weeks.
