Job Responsibilities

We are now looking for an exam invigilator for the Examination Unit at the Education Administration in preparation for the spring examinations. The Examination Unit works on behalf of adult education and targets those who need to receive grades in upper secondary courses.

As an exam invigilator, you play an important role in ensuring that written exams are conducted in a safe, fair, and legally secure manner. Your responsibilities include:

• preparing rooms and technical equipment and welcoming the candidates.
• informing about the structure of the examinations and assisting with questions regarding the technical equipment
• ensuring that the exams start and end correctly
• monitoring the exam room and being attentive to unauthorized behaviors to guarantee a legally secure execution

Other common tasks for the position may be added.

The working hours are scheduled for evenings on Tuesdays. The work shift starts at 4:00 PM and the end time varies between 8:00 PM and 11:00 PM. The examinations are conducted in facilities at Burgården Conference Center, Skånegatan 20.

Qualifications

To thrive and perform well in the role of exam invigilator, attention to detail, structure, and a sense of responsibility are required, as well as good collaboration skills. In your role as an exam invigilator, you will meet many candidates during the exam sessions. It is important that you have a professional and respectful demeanor and can handle unforeseen situations that may arise.

We expect you to have good initiative, be action-oriented, and have previous experience of independent work. You also need to have good digital competence, as well as good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written. Experience and familiarity with pedagogical work within schools are advantageous. Furthermore, you should be comfortable informing and instructing larger groups. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

The advertised positions refer to hourly employment at each examination occasion.
