Working as a Junior Assistant

Your mission will be to relieve the firm’s partners and associates of various administrative tasks. These tasks may include different types of document management, structuring of materials, courier management, meeting administration, and working with complex templates in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Depending on which group and projects you work in, the role of Junior Assistant may vary and may also involve work outside of office hours at times.

Examples of some of your tasks:

  • assist lawyers with information retrieval, compilation, and structuring of large amounts of legal information
  • various document management including proofreading, translation, and formatting
  • various printing management; assembling submissions, binding documents, physical and electronic archiving
  • transcribing Swedish and English audio recordings
  • accounting for expenses
  • contact with authorities
  • book and organize meetings and travel
  • assist with certain tasks in our library
  • handle various administrative issues and matters on a daily basis

Your Profile

We are looking for someone with a high school education who wants to gain insight into the legal profession for about a year. You have an interest in law, and we would like you to be aiming or curious about further legal studies at university. As a person, you are meticulous, down-to-earth, and responsible, and enjoy providing top-class service. Previous experience in a service role is therefore an advantage. You are structured and have the ability to quickly shift focus between different tasks as it is a broad area of work with often tight deadlines and a fast-paced environment. We would like you to have good proficiency in the Office suite and easily adapt to new technology. It is an advantage if you are multilingual, and a requirement for the role is that you are proficient in both Swedish and English.

As a Junior Assistant, you will be part of the office's administrative support team, which aims to provide efficient and professional support. You will work at our office at Järntorget in Gothenburg, where we are about 100 employees.
