Do you want to make a real difference?

Here you contribute to creating safety for people and communities. What you do matters.

The Aeronautics business unit Advanced Programs is growing, and we want to bring in more engaged colleagues who want to be part of our journey. Our mission is to explore and demonstrate the future capabilities of combat aircraft systems. We work with complex mission environments, multi-domain collaboration, and connected systems with new ways to share resources, including various cloud solutions. Autonomous decision-making with AI support is also a central component of our development strategy.

Our core ideas:

  • Exploration and curiosity: We do not build products - we create ideas and prototypes through experimentation and innovation
  • Fast track to demonstration: Continuous testing and simulations to validate new technical solutions
  • Dare to try, dare to fail: Mistakes are seen as a learning process and part of development
  • Challenge and change: We challenge not only technological boundaries but also established ways of working and methods

Your role

We are looking for engaged and solution-oriented tool managers who want to help shape the future of our software development tools. You will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing the project-specific tools used in our development processes.

The main tasks for a tool manager are to:

  • Develop and maintain tools for automating software development processes, including CI/CD pipelines and automated testing tools.
  • Collaborate with development teams to identify and resolve tool-related issues.
  • Implement and maintain linting tools to ensure code quality.
  • Optimize and improve existing tools to increase efficiency.
  • Document and train teams in the use of the tools.
  • Work with containerization and orchestration to ensure scalability and robustness in our systems.

If this role sounds exciting, you will become part of the newly established section Cross-Domain Software Engineering, which aims to be a competence hub for software development. We are responsible for the software development process and support the business with processes, methodologies, and tools. Here you will work alongside truly helpful, driven, and knowledgeable people who all want to be part of creating the future of airborne defense. We believe in a culture based on trust and collaboration, where we move forward together with the help of our curiosity. If you believe in this too, you will definitely thrive with us.

Your profile

We are looking for someone with strong problem-solving skills, detail-oriented, and adaptable in a dynamic environment. We place great importance on your personal qualities and believe that you collaborate well with different teams and take responsibility for the tasks within your area of responsibility. You have analytical thinking and create order to work in a structured manner. Furthermore, you have good communication skills and communicate well in both Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

We believe you have:

  • Experience in software development and tool development.
  • Deep knowledge in at least one of the following areas: CI/CD, automated testing tools, version control systems, build tools, containerization, linting, or static code analysis.
  • Good programming skills in relevant languages, e.g., Python, Java, C++, or similar.
  • Experience working in agile development environments and with DevOps principles.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and analytical thinking.
  • Good communication and collaboration skills.
