Temporary Assistance Officer

Your mission:

The Elderly Unit is tasked with ensuring that Nacka residents over 65 receive the support they need to live under safe conditions. Through flexibility and shared responsibility, we meet our clients in an elderly care system that faces an exciting future where we together need to find the best solutions based on demographic challenges, lessons from the pandemic, and the opportunities of welfare technology. We work towards clear goals with Nacka's seniors in focus. Our employees are our most important resource.

The Elderly Unit's assistance officer team consists of two teams with about 15 employees in each team. You will belong to team two, which consists of 15 assistance officers, a team leader, and a group manager. In team two, there is a housing coordinator responsible for placements in special housing, day activities, and short-term housing.

As an assistance officer, your tasks include:

• Receiving applications, investigating, and making decisions about services for Nacka residents over 65, as well as following up on decisions according to the Social Services Act. We work with the individual's needs at the center (IBIC).
• Having extensive delegation to make decisions about most services.
• Providing relevant information and guidance and informing/guiding in the choice of provider according to Nacka's customer choice.
• Collaborating internally within the municipality and externally with, for example, health care and other authorities.
• Being involved in developing the unit's work.

We place great importance on your personality and are looking for someone who enjoys working in a team as well as independently, and likes to share their knowledge. To thrive in the role, you should have a knack for building relationships as you will have many points of contact, both internally and externally. We hope that you are curious, creative, and enjoy development. The role requires you to have a structured working method and good prioritization skills. You work legally and have very good communication skills in both speech and writing.

We are looking for someone who has:

• A degree in social work

It is an advantage if you also have:

• Experience working in a politically governed organization.
• Experience in assistance officer work for the elderly.
• Experience with the IBIC working method.
• Experience working in the Pulsen Combine operational system.
• A B driver's license
