Personal Assistant Wanted – Calm Workplace in Enskededalen

We are looking for a personal assistant for a 77-year-old man living in Enskededalen.

About the Assignment

The man has had a stroke and is paralyzed on the right side of his body. He can move with the help of a Returner. He has aphasia and reduced hearing, which makes clear, calm, and structured communication important.

His daily life is characterized by simple and clear routines. He enjoys:

• going out to eat at restaurants
• watching sports on TV
• playing computer games

The workplace is calm and predictable.

Job Responsibilities

The job involves personal assistance with both care and support, including:

• personal hygiene (showering and shaving are important)
• support in daily routines
• accompanying on activities outside the home

If necessary, the man may need to go to the hospital and sometimes be admitted. In these situations, the assistant should be able to accompany him and stay overnight at the hospital.

Working Hours

We have the greatest need for assistants who:

• have a good understanding of on-call shifts
• can work 24-hour shifts
• can work weekends

All scheduling is done according to labor laws, collective agreements, and in dialogue with the union.

Employment Type & Scope

We offer:

• hourly positions
• temporary positions
• permanent part-time as long as the assignment lasts
• full-time as long as the assignment lasts (depending on chemistry and needs)

The scope, working hours, and arrangements are open for discussion and mutual agreement. Recruitment is ongoing, and the start date can be immediate.

The residence is conveniently located for commuters:

• about a 2-minute walk to the bus stop Kärrtorpsvägen
• about a 10-minute walk to Kärrtorp subway station and bus station
• about a 10-minute walk to Skogskyrkogården subway station

• is comfortable working independently
• understands that care and support are a natural part of the job
• is willing to learn and deliver in the assignment

Experience in care, support, or personal assistance is an advantage but not a requirement. The most important thing is the right attitude. We offer proper training and necessary delegations to ensure you feel secure in the assignment.
