About the Workplace

At our family law unit, we are ten family law secretaries and one section manager, and we belong organizationally to the child and youth unit in Solna City's social services.

In the child and youth unit, we are responsible for authority exercise and interventions aimed at children and young people aged 0-20 and their families. In addition to family law, our unit also includes investigation groups, reception groups, placement groups, open care, network teams, and field workers. Since 2014, Solna has been the host municipality for the joint family law of Solna-Sundbyberg-Ekerö.

What Does the Job Involve?

Your tasks will consist of the usual duties of a family law secretary, such as informational conversations, custody, residence, and visitation investigations, paternity investigations, counseling, and collaboration discussions with separated parents, as well as consent investigations for adoption.

In our unit, we work with BIFF groups (Children in Focus of Parents) and the Signs of Safety method, and we are currently in the process of implementing the Whole Child method.

Who Are We Looking For?

Qualifications:

• degree in social work
• previous experience in authority exercise and family law
• experience in custody investigations, counseling for separated parents, collaboration discussions
• good knowledge of legislation in the family law area
• strong ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish.

Previous experience with Signs of Safety is considered an asset, as is training and/or experience working with the Whole Child method.

As a person, you are self-sufficient, structured, and take responsibility for your tasks. You communicate clearly and have a strong interest in collaborating with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders. You are just as willing to listen to colleagues as you are to share your own experiences.

You are confident in yourself, stimulated by being part of developing and improving the organization, and skilled at handling people in crisis and conflict. We will place great importance on personal suitability and what additional skills our group needs.

The position is full-time, permanent, with a start date by agreement.
