Team Leader in Social Services

Sollentuna Municipality is now looking for an engaged and clear team leader who wants to work strategically to support individuals wishing to leave criminal environments and those who are subjected to or perpetrate domestic violence.

About us

The Social Office actively works to build a knowledge-based social service where follow-up, collaboration, and user participation are integral parts of everyday life. There is a strong commitment to addressing societal challenges with courage, competence, and care.

The unit is one of seven within the adult department and is responsible for authority exercise regarding domestic violence and crime. The unit has been newly established since April and consists of a unit manager, a team leader, and four social workers.

We are facing exciting development where both legislation and societal needs are changing. Therefore, we are now looking for a structured and strategic team leader who wants to help shape the future of social services.

About the position

As a team leader, you will play a key role in building and leading the unit. You will be responsible for supervising and coaching staff, distributing daily work, and driving development issues together with the unit manager. You will contribute to creating a clear structure and a sustainable working method where quality and legal certainty are in focus.

You will:

• Lead and support staff in daily work
• Develop methods and working approaches for target groups
• Drive the unit's systematic follow-up work
• Participate in collaboration both internally and externally
• Be part of the unit's management team

We are looking for someone who has:

• Extensive experience in authority exercise
• A degree in social work or another higher education that we assess as equivalent, including social law
• Very good knowledge of applicable legislation regarding the target groups

It is advantageous if you have:

• Previously held a leadership role
• Experience working with domestic violence and crime
• Training in FREDA, SARA, and PATRIARK

As a person, you are clear, secure, and possess good leadership qualities. You are also used to working strategically and have a structured approach. You need to have the ability to create engagement, build good relationships, and contribute to a positive work climate.

Other important information

The position is a temporary position for about 12 months for our colleague on parental leave. There is a possibility of a permanent position as a social worker. Selection may occur on an ongoing basis. We conduct background checks before an employment offer is made.
