SiS Youth Home Råby receives both girls and boys. We have both closed and open placements for secure youth care as well as treatment placements for youth placed under the Care of Young Persons Act (LVU).

Job Description

We are looking for someone who wants to make a difference in the students' lifelong learning and who has a positive outlook and strong belief in the students' abilities.

SiS Youth Home Råby receives boys and girls from all over the country aged 15-21 years. We run school year-round and have students both in primary and secondary school, and we may also have students who belong to adapted school forms. You will belong to the school organization and have the school as the starting point for your work. You will be part of the institution's student health team where your role is to provide special educational competence as support in the school's preventive and promoting student health work, and you will closely collaborate with other professionals, including psychologists, social workers, and treatment pedagogues.

In the role of special teacher, you will work closely with students, participate in assessment work, be responsible for action programs, and guide and support colleagues. You will also plan, implement, and evaluate targeted interventions at both individual and group levels.

The position also includes teaching students in smaller groups and mentorship.

Qualifications

Requirements

• Special teacher with a focus on mathematics or mathematics teacher with special educational competence, or you are a mathematics teacher in the final phase of your special teacher training
• Eligibility to teach at the secondary level
• Swedish teacher certification

Employment:

The position is a permanent full-time employment starting with a six-month probationary period. Start date according to agreement.

The employment is a vacation position.
