Priest with focus on children and family as well as confirmation

With Present – Prayerful – Reconciliatory as guiding principles, the Church of Sweden in Lund is taking new steps towards future challenges. The Church of Sweden in Lund is a parish with 7 congregations, 1 cathedral, 15 churches including a cooperative church with EFS, 3 chapels, and 2 preschools, funeral services, and an office.

Additionally, we have Hospital Chaplaincy, Family Counseling, and a Diaconal Center. There are over 200 employees and many volunteers, of which over 130 are elected representatives. The Church Council has overall responsibility and all activities are led by the Dean. Each congregation has a parish council and a parish priest. We are a church with worship at the center and we are present in all stages of life; at baptism, confirmation, weddings, and funerals.

We are looking for a priest with a focus on children and family as well as confirmation, which are two of the congregation's nodes that we are particularly investing in over the coming years. You will be involved in our activities with a special focus on St Hans and Norra fäladen, and you will also have confirmands in our popular confirmation group 'I Am'. You will have outreach contacts with the surrounding community related to children and youth. You will regularly conduct worship services and church ceremonies in our churches and in the parish's chapels. In all our activities and worship services, we work purposefully with openness, inclusion, and low thresholds, with a clear core in Jesus Christ.

Lund's Eastern City Parish

We are an exciting mix of urban church and rural church in northeastern and eastern Lund. The parish has four churches from the late 1200s to the 1990s: Stora Råby, Sankt Knut, Maria Magdalena, and Sankt Hans. The parish covers the expanding areas of Brunnshög and Råbylund, and is Lund's most populous. We have about 25 employees, of which seven are in the priest college, and many volunteers.

You are used to planning, organizing, and prioritizing your work effectively, and you come with new ideas, initiatives, and approaches. We place great value on your ability to collaborate and see that you relate to others in a responsive and open manner.
