Malmö Magistratsgymnasium is seeking a social pedagogue with a strong commitment to students' learning, well-being, and social development. Malmö Magistratsgymnasium is a small school that opened in the autumn term of 2025 and accommodates students studying individual alternatives (IMA) or vocational introduction (IMY), as well as having a few places for students from other high schools who temporarily need to be relocated.

Job Responsibilities

As a social pedagogue, you contribute to a holistic view where society, groups, and individuals interact. You work with the school's core values and actively participate in the school's development work.

With us, you will work with students both individually and in groups. The focus is on meeting students where they are and supporting and motivating them. Together with teachers and other colleagues at the school, you will design and develop the school's learning environment to create a safe and stimulating environment that contributes to students' learning and development.

Qualifications

Requirements:

• A relevant post-secondary education comprising at least two years of full-time studies (120 credits or a two-year vocational training)
• Previous experience in similar work
• Good insight into the school's goals and quality work
• Very good Swedish in speech and writing

Meritorious:

• Experience working within high school introduction programs or special education groups in primary school (grades 7-9)
• Training in motivational interviewing
• Good experience collaborating with other authorities and external actors
• Experience leading youth activities or engagement in community organizations
• Experience and knowledge of drug prevention work

As a person, you are relationship-oriented, have a good demeanor, and the ability to guide students in social interactions. You have excellent communication skills and express yourself clearly and appropriately based on the situation and audience. Furthermore, it is important that you are pedagogical and good at collaborating. You also need to be flexible as schedules and support needs may change throughout the year.

About the Workplace

Malmö Magistratsgymnasium is a smaller school unit in central Malmö for students studying individual alternatives (IMA) or vocational introduction (IMY). A few places will also be available for students from other high schools who temporarily need a different placement. At Malmö Magistratsgymnasium, the individual student is at the center, and great importance is placed on contributing to future prospects, independence, and motivation. The learning environment is created based on a holistic view of both learning and the student's personal development, and the school's culture is built on respectful interactions, supportive learning environments, and high expectations.
