Furuboda Assistans is a private assistance provider in southern Sweden with roots in the non-profit Furuboda Association. The company was established in 2005 and is a growing business. I am a 20-year-old girl looking for new personal assistants. Maybe you are the one I am looking for? I live in a house in Hästveda with my family and our cat.

I have a significant disability and need support in my daily life to live as independently and meaningfully as possible.

I am looking for someone who:

• Is responsible, patient, and secure in themselves.

• Has a genuine interest in helping others.

• Sees opportunities instead of obstacles.

• Is flexible and easy to collaborate with.

• Enjoys swimming (I swim year-round, at least twice a week).

• Likes books (you read aloud to me), music, singing, and animated films.

• Is physically active (you need to be able to jump on a trampoline with me).

• Has a B driver's license (a requirement since we often go out together and public transport is limited here).

Your role as an assistant means being my support in everyday life. Tasks include, among other things:

• Tube feeding and medication.

• Assistance with personal hygiene and dressing.

• Support during transfers.

• Interpreting and conveying my communication.

• Accompanying me to daily activities, leisure activities, doctor visits, family activities, outings, shopping, and travel.

Working hours are scheduled during the day, evenings, and every third weekend. You are needed immediately. During an introductory period of 2–4 weeks, we will get to know each other at a comfortable pace, while you gain basic knowledge about epilepsy, developmental disabilities, and alternative communication. Previous experience as an assistant is not a requirement – personal chemistry is the most important! Does this sound interesting? Then I look forward to hearing from you!
